The California Inter-Scholastic Federation (C.I.F.) has established rules regarding residency requirements for athletes. In general, they only affect students who have moved or changed schools in the last year. Students who may be affected, please speak with the Athletic Director.
Students who participate in athletics and/ or many of the other co-curricular and extra-curricular programs are required to meet the standards of the academic eligibility program. In order to determine academic eligibility for athletes, grade checks will occur directly after each triad or semester. In order to meet CIF requirements, students must maintain a 2.0 GPA.
Students involved in athletics need to represent the school in a positive and professional manner. Students who receive a 5 day suspension for any reason will miss all school sponsored activities during the time of suspension as well as any game time for the 5 school days following the suspension. Attendance at practice for the week after suspension will be at coach’s discretion. In School Suspensions (ISS) shall be treated as a home suspension in relation to attending and participating in games played which is to say students are not allowed to attend or participate in the game for the day they are assigned ISS. Practice will be at the coaches discretion
